Since childhood, Coach Jeff has been competing at something, whether that be swimming, soccer, golf, tennis, card games, you name it. He brings experience as a college athlete to Crusher and has been around some of the best coaches and athletes in the business.
Jeff wishes he found Crossfit about 15 years earlier than he did. As a swimmer at the University of Minnesota (SKI-U-MAH!!!), he was a NCAA All-American, Big Ten Champion, and a finalist at the 2000 US Olympic Trials. There he learned many of the weightlifting fundamentals we use at Crusher. Being used to training for multiple hours a day from his younger years, he appreciates the relatively quick and efficient workouts at the box.
After swimming, he found the couch…and a few extra pounds. For years, he tried (unsuccessfully) to get back in shape on his own at the local community center. Once he discovered Crusher Crossfit, he was hooked from Day 1. He found a program that provides a unique challenge every day and gives him an opportunity to compete with those around him. A husband and a father of two boys, he wants to not only be healthy himself but instill a passion for health and fitness for his family and those in the community.
As a coach at Crusher, he hopes to inspire our athletes to be the best they can be, push the envelope, and accomplish more than they could have ever expected.
